Prof. PhDr. Milada Polišenská, CSc., is professor of history at Anglo-American University in Prague, Czech Republic, specializing in the modern history of Central and Eastern Europe as well as diplomatic history. She is the author of several scholarly books and a number of articles and conference presentations. She joined AAU in 2003, and held various administrative positions there, including Provost. She has taught as Visiting Professor at universities in the USA, Taiwan, and Thailand, received several major research grants, and was a Fulbright scholar, a Cold War International History Project Fellow at the Woodrow Wilson Center, and a Senior Fernand Braudel Fellow at the European University Institute, Florence, Italy.
